STAY TUNED is a musical/personal interest television show that Kuri Productions, Inc. and their partner, Monterey Light & Sound, are developing as a weekly television music series. In it’s first three episodes we feature three fabulous artists: Platinum recording artists, the Squirrel Nut Zippers, recorded at a concert recorded live in Charlottesville, Virginia; from San Francisco's Great American Music Hall, the oldest nightclub in the city, a standing room only concert of internationally popular, Grammy winning and legendary blues artist, John Hammond, joined on stage by his very good friend and blue’s legend, Charlie Musselwhite; and the third episode features the extraordinary Colorado band, Leftover Salmon, performing their self-described Polyethnic Cajun Slamgrass from the Fillmore auditorium in San Francisco.
The concerts are covered by our traveling crew using multiple
cameras, as well as 32 channel digital audio. Our intention is to put the
viewer in the concert, with an insider’s
look, otherwise not accessible to non band members. The additional element
to each concert will be the Stay Tuned interviews. Director, writer,
producer, John Kuri, interviews off-camera so as to keep complete attention
focused on the artist.
STAY TUNED delivers the laughter, the pain and the love that has inspired the artists to push through the boundaries so their music can fill the hearts of their fans, from coast to coast.
